Annette Murray is a biracial filmmaker, cinematographer, and photographer from Queens, New York. Growing up in one of the most diverse places in the world, she learned to find beauty in the intricacies of everyday life. Through her work, Annette strives to tell stories that are both beautiful in style and in meaning so that those who watch may feel seen.
Her filmic style is versatile, shaped by a love for distinct aesthetics and collaboration with directors who bring strong visual visions to their projects. Annette’s creative interests include stories centered on the female experience (particularly motherhood), explorations of interpersonal relationships, and psychological thrillers that delve into the complexities of the mind.
Her passion for film and visual arts began from a young age, she entered college with the intention to learn all she could about the world of visual storytelling. She is currently an undergraduate at Cornell University studying Film and Psychology.
